HOW DO I JOIN TASKFORCE44???

This thread is for all new members that may want to join up, the Official WoWs Asia Forums is but one of our recruiting stations, other members may find our Taskforce44 In-Game Channel and wish to know how to join up or browse our HQ and wish to join up. If you wish to join up please enter your in-game username below. Likewise if for any reason one of our members signs a new player please enter that players in-game username below.

To put your name down is all you need to do to join, you must live in Australia or New Zealand and you must be English Speaking to join. The whole idea of Taskforce44 is to bring fellow Australian & Ne Zealander players together to be able to play with other (English Speaking) Australians and New Zealander players to be able to play Co-Op games and Random Battles as a group. Our TeamSpeak Channel can be found on our homepage as can our in-game messenger channel simply do a search and find Taskforce44(Danaussie) channel or search for fellow members by name and ask them to form a division:

Welcome SakamakiIzayoi, its always great to welcome new members of Taskforce44. The only thing you need to do now is make contact with the Taskforce44 In-Game Channel and you will find that by doing a "Search" in your in-game chat-box messenger, while at Port: Taskforce44(Danaussie).

Grabbing by the testicles is a common Taskforce44 induction technique gotthebigone (love your username btw), we draw the line at holding a pistol to ones head and shanghaiing members that way, which is incredibly nice of us. :lol:

I'm a newbie to not only Taskforce44 but also to naval online gaming.
More than 25 years simming (mostly aircraft) and also the Silent Hunter series.
I'd like to thank Dan for the invitation....it was his username on WoWS which jumped out at me and I immediately asked the obvious question....are you Aussie?! Smile

Please put up with me (be gentle!) as I go through the learning process of teamwork and and WoWS in general.

My preference is for Battleships....am gradually working my way there through the Techtree.
Spent real money and bought Atlanta, which I love but the torps - like all USN units - have too short a range.

By-the-way...I may be the oldest here - I was 70 last month. Smile

I've been on the "gaming bandwagon" ever since Electronic Arts released F/A-18 Interceptor for the Amiga computer around 1986/87.

That just maybe so too HenryCrun, it always surprised me (and perhaps it shouldn't have) to see more senior players at Virtual Skipper racing yachts with the younger blokes and beating the pants off them.

You will find us all a bunch of friendly guys and we are more than happy to lend a hand whenever you want it Henry.

We have our members list for a reason guys, and that is so that you can find fellow Aussies and Kiwis to introduce yourself to. If you right click on any username (while in Taskforce44 chat) you will see an option to "Invite to a Division", I will put a simple guide into the Welcome To Taskforce44 Sub-Forum so the new guys know what to do later on today.

We are really proud of our brand new club and we are really proud to have every single one of you now 70 members strong here with us.

My best advise to all new members is to keep turning up, keep chatting with the members both here and at the Taskforce44 Chat-Channel. Don't be shy to talk to anybody and ask for div games, don't be discouraged if no-one answers you immediately, its more often the case that those players are playing in another division (maximum of 3 players) or may be playing solo in a game. Be patient with each other, and keep making yourself known.

A very big welcome to HenryCrun, indeed welcome to all our new members. If anyone has any questions whatsoever please do not hesitate to ask via PM or just simply open a New Thread in Player Chat.

Hay All,

Just a quick message to say 'hi' and thanks for the invite.

Been a casual gamer since Space Invaders first came out and the Commodore 64 used a tape player (who can forget the punch-cards at school...?)

Looking forward to learning from the more experienced players and hopefully join up with some lower-tier players (just broke into T3) and see if I can't improve my PvP skills - I may be crap but I always try to win...

Im not surprised to see more and more of our generation playing these types of games after seeing the amazing popularity of table-top miniatures naval wargame develop.

I think the eventual number that play World of Warships will be staggering, and way larger than the initial projections by Wargaming.net.

Yes I remember Commodore64 games, my family was too poor to own one, but many of my friends had them as well as Atari console games, which we would play whenever our Mums would let us. Otherwise we would hop on our bikes and take down a couple of (glass) coke bottles to the milk bar to get a refund (20 cents each bottle) from the shop keeper, and play PacMan or Space Invaders on the "Table Style" video games he had.

hey im new to WOWs and looking for some people top play with, i'll happily join.
I've been playing for a few days and got the jist of the game down i think lol, been playing a lot of coop until im brave enough to head into PVP.. my best ships are a T3 cruiser and T3 battleship both American, still trying to work out what suits me better.
I'm in Western Australia and play mostly through the day and evenings, so if you don't mind a total noob hanging around im up for joining :-)
