Need Players for Public Test of Teams

Hi Chaps,

I have been trying out the teams concept in the Public Test of WoWS V 0.5.3.

Unfortunately the concept is hard to experience when making and joining random teams.

So I am asking for volunteers who:

Can or have downloaded the separate Public Test WoWS game client
Can or have registered to be part of the public test. Note you will get some goodies if you use you usual in game email to register. I used the same details of my usual WoWS account to register.
Are able to meet at a mutually agreed time and play for and hour or two.

Ideally if we can get 6 players plus myself, we will get a great insight into this new game type's mechanics.

Into the realm of wishful thinking, I would like to be able to field 2 x BB, 2 xCA, 2 x DD and a CV.

Finally, this is a no cost exercise and as we will use Tier 6 ships, no grinding is required. The test is only on for another 20 hours (atm) so please help out if you are interested

Mate really I would like to say that I am interested but with only 20 hours (less now) I don't fancy our chances in raising a team in so little time.

The idea sounds fantastic and I would certainly like to hear more, if it sounds like they are thinking of allowing more than 3 players in a team which is what it sounds like. That is terrific news in itself if that is the case.

We are a relatively new club as I indicated in the PM I just sent you if we had just a little more time Im sure we would have been able to generate the interest.

Good News, it looks like the test will be on for another 12 days.

It is the game mechanics which keep it reporting team game avilability in less than 24 hour increments. This is because when it goes live, the intent is to have team games available only in the higher player population times.

If anyone is interested in having a go, please post, pm or talk to me on the in game chat.

I am currently downloading the test server, it still has a ways to go which is why I have not seen anyone since yesterday I even had it running overnight and still am waiting. Ill let you know as soon as Im up and running mate.

That Im not sure about mate I finished downloading it last night too, and tried to get online this morning but couldn't. So in short...I don't know, Ill talk to Taipan as soon as I see him and ask him.

Hi Chaps,

The test has been suspended for a few days to allow the developers to make a number of improvements and corrections. It recommences tomorrow 10FEB2016 at 02:30 AEST or 03:30 AEDT for those in the south eastern states. It is scheduled to cease at 23:00 AEST 11FEB2016. So, get in during this almost 2 day period and check out what's coming to WoWS.

OK great I have the server downloaded with 0.5.3 version, just doing the latest update should be ready in a few hours.

Those that may be interested in the Team Testing please either express your interest here or in our in-game chat channel: Taskforce44(Danaussie).

Perhaps we could arrange a time of 7PM Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time for other to join the Team Test Server tonight if others have the client downloaded and are keen to test this new function.

@Taipan - I will be on chat channel at 11:00am this morning 10/2/1016, we can go onto the Public Test Server from there as soon as we meet.

Hi Guys,

Public Test Part 2 has concluded. You will not be able to log on using the public test client. I will update when information as to any further test periods becomes available

Thanks for your efforts Taipan, it was fun the small amount of time we had on it. Testing the ships was great but the most enjoyable part was seeing the new Teams Function which Im sure our club will make good use of if and when it ever eventuates.

Thanks Taipan, I know how difficult it can be to get cohesion going here at the moment. We do our best but its up to all of us if we ever want to be more than just a meeting place for div games.

Just learnt times for team battles start at midnight NZ time (you Aussies I guess are around 9-10pm on East Coast)
So having to get up early for work kind of negates this for me

Fair enough Kapitan, cheers for that mate. I guess the other thing is we should give things a chance to get started. The full game itself is only relatively new, and our club even newer.

Even with 200 members only a small fraction will ever want to do anything more than play a few div games or ever have time to play anything more than that....this includes myself to be fair.

I can spend a week sometimes and be able to be online most days, then the nature of my work will mean that I cant be online for more than maybe an hour some other days, and sometimes not at all. It is probably like that for most members of Taskforce44.
